What is it?
Rye (Secale cereale) is a member of the wheat tribe (Triticeae) and is closely related to barley (Hordeum) and wheat (Triticum).
Our rye grain is biodynamically grown here in New Zealand.
Where can I use it?
Rye grain is used for flour, rye bread, rye beer, and crispbread. It can also be eaten whole, as either boiled rye berries or rolled, similar to rolled oats.
Anything important?
Contains Gluten. BioGro and Demeter certified. Grown and processed here in New Zealand.
