Organic Brown Lentils
What are they?
Lentils have been part of the human diet for the last 13,000 years. They are an edible pulse from the seed pod of the lentil plant with a warm, nutty flavour. A dietary staple throughout India and the surrounding countries and a versatile vegetarian favourite.
What are the nutritional benefits?
Lentils contain high levels of fibre and protein whilst being low in fat and calories. They also contain folate, potassium and iron.
Where can I use them?
Relatively quick to cook in under 30 minutes, they can be used in a huge variety of dishes such as soups, curries, stews and casseroles. Use them as a meat replacement in chilli's, tacos and veggie burgers. They easily absorb the flavours of the ingredients they are cooked with.

We use these in stews, soups, and patties. Everyone loves them.
I used to use canned brown lentils until trying these ones - so much tastier and not much effort at all to cook. They also sprout well so I know they\re fresh.
