Organic Barley Flakes
What is it?
Barley Flakes are made by husking kernels of barley, then flattening and rolling them. The flakes look like rolled oats, but are a bit thicker and chewier.
Biodynamically grown here in New Zealand.
Where can I use it?
Barley Flakes are great as a hot breakfast cereal, they make an excellent replacement for oat flakes - they are sweeter with a lower fat content. Try making 'granola' - lightly toast with a few raisins, a drizzle of honey, sunflower or pumpkin seeds and perhaps some nuts.
Anything important?
Contains Gluten. Demeter and BioGro certified. Grown and processed here in New Zealand.

I love how easy barley flakes add variety to the diet, as it does the same as rolled oats as it s mild enough, yet tastes great. A great staple.
